Overture Financial Support
Eligibility: Only faculty members working at present in academic institutes are eligible to apply on behalf of that institute for the financial support.
What is MTTS Overture?
MTTS Overture is a two-day workshop format that extends MTTS-style training to more colleges, exposing about 50 undergraduate students per camp to MTTS teaching methods through two short mathematics courses. The MTTS Trust covers the cost of the resource persons who conduct it, so hosting one places minimal financial burden on the college. See Financial Support > Overture for the full description and to apply.
Who can request this support, and when?
Any college can propose to host one, with priority given to geographically disadvantaged locations. A faculty member submits the proposal on behalf of the institution, with the institution's approval. Camps run October-February each financial year, and proposals should be submitted by May.
How do I submit a request?
From Financial Support > Overture, click "Apply / Continue Request" and fill in the proposer (local co-ordinator) details, organizing institute and nearby colleges, previous MTTS participation, and planning details (proposed dates, accommodation, etc.). You'll see a full preview - exactly how the request will appear on the generated PDF - before you declare and submit. You can only have one active request (Draft, Submitted, or Verified) at a time.
What happens after I submit?
Your request moves through the following stages:
On submission, a PDF copy of your request is generated automatically and emailed to you, and you'll also see a notification in your Inbox. A Trust reviewer verifies and approves (or rejects) the request; a rejected request shows the reason and you'll need to start a fresh request to resubmit.
My request was approved - what next?
Download and print the generated PDF, get it signed by you (the local co-ordinator) and counter-signed by your institute head along with the institute's office seal, then upload a scanned copy of the fully signed document from your request's page.
Where can I track my request?
Go to Financial Support > Overture > My Overture Requests to see its status and submission date, and to download the generated PDF once it's ready.
